I blame my friend Roisin (also known as my unofficial and unpaid assistant -and sometimes affectinately called Jessie, but that's another story...). She is a total makeup whore. She owns more makeup than I, and for those who know me, you know how scary that is. A few weeks ago she shared a link to these scandalously cheap blusher palettes from a newish brand, Makeup Revolution. I have been loking for new blushers, and these palettes looked alright. At £6 each (!!!) I was skeptical about their quality, but figured £12 is worth a gamble.
I ordered via their website, and the palettes came 2 days later. I was so excited! I love when the postman brings me new makeups so very much!
I have been using these for a few weeks now on both my bridal clients and for photoshoots, and they are fantastic value for money. Really highly pigmented and a great range of colous. On the left is the Sugar and Spice palette which is more pinky cool tones, and on the right is the Hot Spice palette of more warm peachy tones. Each palette contains 6 powder blushers with a satin finish, and 2 high shimmer highlighters. I do not know where the "Contour" from the name of the palette comes into it though. None of the shades are suitable for contouring! However they are all very pretty. The only thing I don't like is that the texture of some of the colours is not as creamy as others, must have to do with the formulation and pigments? But it isn't a huge issue. The payout is strong, and they blend fabulously for such a CHEAP product.

I am seriously impressed by these blushers and highlighters. Highly recommended. Certainly a fantastic addition to my pro kit, even though I tend to stick to pro and prestge brands. These are excellent quality!
