What's in My Kit? My MAC "Neutral" Palette

I belong to a number of Facebook groups for makeup artists, and a question I see being asked repeatedly is what eye shadows are essential in a professional makeup kit. So, I thought I would share the eye shadow palette that I use consistantly, pretty much on every face I touch. It is a MAC 15 well palette (old school version)with 15 carefully selected colours that I put together myself. You hear mixed reviews about MAC eye shadows, but I absolutely love them. They never fail me. However, I have ordered a Viseart palette which should be arriving next week, and i have heard they are life changing, so we shall see! In the meantime, I love my little MAC "Neutral" palette.

This is the old style MAC palette, which does not have a clear lid. I much prefer it to the new version, it is thinner and lighter. I have never had an issue with my refills falling out or cracking with mine but I know some MUAs have. I have 10 matte shades, 2 satin, and 3 shimmer. I use these so much, and they make great bridal and prom looks. Some can be used for brows or highlighters as well.

I have swatched the colours in my sketchbook so the true colour and finish is visible. I love using Embark as a soft smokey eyeliner, Corduroy as a contour shade, and Nylon on the tear duct.
