Last Wednesday I had the pleasure of collaborating once again with photographer Gabriella Csutor. This young woman is extremely talented! She is going to be a hugely famous photographer one day, and I am lucky to get to work with her now!
Melissa Lee from J'Adore Models Manchester was our stunning model for the day. This was a beauty shoot, focusing on key trends for the upcoming Autumn/Winter Season. The final photos are awaiting publication, so in the meantime, here are a few behind the scenes snaps. I can't wait to share the final images from the day!
This look focused on a pop of berry pink on the lips, with a muted gold/green shimmer on the eye. I Used shades from the Viseart Paris Nudes palette on the lids, and Lord & Berry Lip Pencil in Vintage Rose on the lips with Makeup Revolution London Amazing Lipstick in Rebel With Cause dabbed onto lips with my finger. Melissa has amazing, beautiful skin, so I used Smashbox Liquid Halo in 05 as a base and concealed with Smashbox HD Liquid Concealer where needed. I added glow to high points with Illamasqua Gleam Cream in Aurora, and used Grimas rouge in a light plum to give natural colour to the cheeks.
I smoked out the eye and added a tomato red lip for the next look. If you want and instant trend update this Autumn, invest in a red-orange lipstick! The Sixties style updo really accentuated Melissa's feline features. I used MAC eye shadows in Bronze and Concrete on the eyes, Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Mascara, Illamasqua Lip Pencil in Strumpet and the lipstick I custom blended from my kit.
Rich matte tones are necessary for the modern dramatic eye. Here I used MAC eye shadows in Cranberry, Quarry, and Embark and lined with Avon Supershock Gel Pencil in Blackberry. Cheekbones were defined with RCMA Color Process Foundation in S1. The barely there lip colour was created with MAC lip pencil in Spice and Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick in Crystal Baby.
Metallic shine on the eyes was another important look on the runways for A/E 14. Here I layered Copper and Rose Gold Satin finish shadows from my Viseart Paris Nudes palette, and made a deep smudgey yet glossy line around the eye with Lord & Berry Polish Pencil in Mirror Black. The lips same as above, but with added shine from Kryolan High Gloss in Gold.
These looks are bang on trend. Not overly contoured, no cut creases, no heavy smokey eyes, no glitter, no ombre brows. Clean and modern, fresh skin and defined features that play with colour and texture.
Which new makeup trends will you be adopting this season?
