Golden Globes 2015 Red Carpet Beauty Roundup

The key beauty trend showing on the red carpet at last night's Golden Globes was MINIMAL. Minimal makeup, flawless skin. Tons of lashes show that fluttery wispy falsies are having a moment. Soft smokey eyes in shades of gold, bronze and coffee drew attention to eyes, and lips colour was kept to a sheer and glossy minimum, or a bold berry red.

Sleek was the word to describe most of the hair styles. Lots of center partings and low chignons, also the deep side part with Veronica Lake style curls to one side. I was happy to see lots of mid length bobs too, seeing as I just got my hair "lobbed" last Thursday!

Here are some of my fave looks:

Rosamind Pike looked stunning. The hair, the makeup, the dress. This was truly the best look at the awards in my opinion. I am having serious lash envy! This is modern glamour, soft brows, defined eyes and an overall glow. Beautiful.

Reece Witherspoon always looks amazing. She has always been my personal beauty inspiration. I love this sideswept do, and the warm smokey eye. I think the blusher could do with being lighter though, less red and more apricot. She looks fabulous nonetheless.

Kate Hudson only needs to smile to look super cute. Life is not fair. I am loving her minimal makeup look and her sleek center parted bun. I think this is going to be the next big bridal hair look! Would suit a very classic white wedding.

Can we discuss Kerry Washington's lashes for a minute? They are dreamy. Yes, dreamy. I am loving the black liner on the waterline, which is softened by a brown powder delicately smudges beneath. Gorgeousness. The soft sheer pink on her lips really sets this look off. Simple but very effective.

Jessica Chastain always gets it right with her hair and make up. I wonder if Mary Greenwell did this look last night? I am obsessing over her eyes and the barely there brow. I might bleach my brows. I love a pale brow.

Again we see the sideswept down do. The epitome of Hollywood glamour, a classic style, which really suits Jessica's classic beauty.

Also, boobs.

I really want to hate Jenna Dewan-Tatum. She has my man. However, I cannot hate on her, she looks so pretty and radiant! Again the fluffy lashes, again the center parting, but this time with a gorgeous mid length do. Perfection.

Finally, Laura Prepon! I must say that her makeup was my most favourite of the night, except her brows. The brows are so bad, that she lost out to Rosamind Pike. Everything else about this makeup is just beautiful and perfect. A softer brow is needed here. Just because she uses a Sharpie as make up on Orange is the New Black, doesn't mean she should use it on her day off. Seriously.
