I would say that I have aging skin. I am nearly 38, and my skin is still oily-ish and I suffer with hormonal breakouts. I am beginning to suffer with lines and I am noticing tightness after I wash my face.
Facial oils are a buzz product at the moment, especialy in the USA. Over the years, I have tried various facial oils including Clarins, Sanctuary and Nspa. They were all very nice, but far too oily for my skin. A while ago I read a review of Indie Lee Squalane Facial Oil on my favourite blog, Glossible. This product sounds like the Holy Grail of skincare! I found a UK stockist, A Beautiful World, and placed my order 2 weeks ago. I decided to do a test run before adding to my kit, as I do with all products, and I have fallen in love!
I first applied onto freshly cleansed skin at night. I used about 3-4 drops from the dropper. A little goes a very long way. It soaked in easily and did not leave a greasy residue. I did not apply any other creams. I woke the next morning and noticed that the lines around my nose and my frown lines on my forehead were significantly reduced and plumped. My skin was soft and supple and felt firmer. I have used a few drops morning and night ever since. It wears well under makeup. I have even been using it on my hands and on my eczema!
Squalane oil is derived from olives and is a key component to skin's natural sebum. It has be shown to reduce lines, increase moisture, reduce pigmentation and prevent age spots. Be careful not to confuse with squalene, which is an animal derived product. Indie Lee Sqalane Facial Oil is 100% pure squalane. It is fragrance free and all natural, as is the entire brand.
I am so impressed with this oil, and I will be adding a bottle to my kit as I can imagine it would be beautiful to use on dryer or mature skins than need a little extra moisture. Indie Lee Squalane Facial Oil is available from A Beautiful World for £22.
