Summer was here last week, I swear! It got me all in the mood for floaty dresses and everything! Today is looking rather grey, dull, and cold. But it won't stop me from thinking about the season that is upon us. Glastonbury is only a couple weeks away, and festival season has already begun. Here are my fave long wearing lip shades to rock this summer:
1. Jouer Liquid Lipstick in Papaye (cultbeauty.co.uk - £15)
This cult favourite is always selling out. It is a metallic warm peach shade which looks glossy, but is bulletproof. It is so incredibly pretty and looks sublime with a tan.
2. MUA Power Pout Acrylic in Supreme (superdrug.com - £3.50)
Gorgeous Barbie pink with a high intensity shine that actually stays on your lips! This bargain product has been a secret weapon in my kit for years.
3. LA Splash Studio Shine Waterproof Lip Lustre in Alice (cocktailcosmetics.co.uk - £9.95)
I LOVE a good violet lipstick, and this is a great one. Seriously long wearing, bright with a slight lustre. This is not budging from your lips.
4. Nars Velvet Lip Glide – Stripped (narscosmetics.co.uk - £22)
Every single shade of this amazing formula is beautiful, but this pure nude has been a favourite of many of my clients. It is a barely there beauty that makes your lips look full and sexy. The velvety texture wears comfortably for hours.
5. Pierre Rene Professional Royal Mat Lipsticks – Coral Dream and Violet Touch (£15)
Pierre Rene is a professional brand of make-up which is only just taking off in the UK. These semi-matte lipsticks are impressive. I love these two shades, perfect for summer and they are super pigmented. They are long wearing but do not dry out your lips. I love them so much, you can purchase them from my Facebook shop!
As these are all long wearing formulas, I have one more recommendation. Superdrug do packs of micellar water wipes, perfect for festivals or holidays. Micellar water is a gentle yet effective makeup remover/cleanser, and these handy wipes will make removing your lipstick a doddle.
What festivals are you off to this year?
