A few weeks ago, I was very fortunate to do a Facebook Live broadcast with my good friend Carol Dinwoodie ay her shop, Bridal Reloved Liverpool. It was a #LiveFeedFriday and we chatted about all things wedding makeup while I did a quick 10 minute makeover on Carol. The feedback I received was so positive, and everyone keeps asking me when I will do some more videos.
Honestly, I have been more than a little hesitant to do makeup videos. When you see the super sleek productions done by MUAs on YouTube and Facebook, I just know that I wouldn't live up to that kind of standard! But watching my live video with Carol, I could see the appeal! It was fun, and I was just being myself. I am not one for putting on airs, what you see is what you get. I just thought, "Well, why shouldn't I give it a try?". I know I am different, but I think that is what my lovely, lovely, fabulous clients like about me!
Last Friday, I went back to Carol's gorgeous shop on Aigburth Road with my mobile makeup studio. This time, I had planned a Rock Chick Bride look, and the fab Sophie from Recovamp was modelling for me. The video was for The Liverpool Wedding Blog, our fantastic labour of love that we are involved in along with the super talented Lucy Hannah Photography. You can see the Rock Chick Bride video here.
I loved it! It inspired me so much, that I asked my bride and her bridesmaid on Saturday if I could take a time lapse video of me making them over. Thankfully they agreed! And I spent Sunday morning editing the videos and creating my very own YouTube Channel. Here is the video of my gorgeous bride Suzie having her wedding makeup done at Knowsley Hall
So now, I am officially a vlogger, YouTuber, etc. Isn't that cool? Please please please give me a follow on YouTube and leave me some feedback! I really want to make more videos, and your input is so important to me. What kind of things would you like to see?
Watch this space... It's going to be fun and GLAM!
Here are some pics of Suzie and her wedding party!
